It looked like a large, yellow birthday cake with cellophane over it. At the time, you emailed me and asked me to let you know how she liked the basket, but I forgot to do so until now. She really enjoyed the basket. Her favorite item was the book called "There's No Place Like Hope". A lot of what is talked about in that book pertained directly to her situation. While she was reading it, there were several times she showed me a part of the book and said "I didn't know other people felt that way". It was very helpful for her to understand that a lot of cancer patients have had the same thoughts and feelings she has had. It's hard for her to be so far from her friends and family, but one of the things she does to help her get through the week is to bring that book with her and read from it from time to time. She also really likes the "I Believe in You" window cards. She opens a new one every day. It is amazing how often the comment on one of the cards is relevant to something we had just been discussing or she had just been feeling.
